Into Darkness

It’s getting dark,
too dark to see…

When will I arrive?
You are already there

The road is winding down
Walls closing in
The sun sets in the West
but not today, not today

I stand here hollow
for what have I done?
Love, pain, hurt, loss
fade out
into the night

This may be the longest path we walk
but in the end, we all arrive
Where?
Under branches of a sheltering tree
Hanging off a cliff

You, you were too kind to me
how did I deserve this?
This pity, this scorn
I don’t want to be the victim of your wrath
Or Love

You’ve taken my insides out
And drawn my last resort
